A little Q&A/life update

Katie and I started this blog as a little hobby… something fun we could do together & use for a creative outlet. We had no idea the friendships we would make, opportunities that would arise and how awesome this blogging community truly is.

That being said, I wanted to take a moment to answer a few questions over the last few months and from those of you who’ve been following our journey.

Are you guys still moving? YES! long story short, we are no longer moving out of town (thank The Lord!) but since moving was the originally plan, word got out & we actually had multiple people ask for a private showing of our house before putting it on the market…and guess what? IT SOLD! We decided that the ‘fixer upper’ was a great experience, but we are ready to start enjoying a new season…of no house projects. 🙂 We have a beautiful brand new rental all lined up for the next 6 months & from there we shall see where life takes us. 😉

What breed are your dogs? Winnie, the bigger one is a Schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle). Nala, the runt (literally) is a Bichpoo (bichon frise/poodle). We love the poodle mixies because they are extremely intelligent dogs, easy to potty train & don’t shed. I would totally get another one if my husband would let me. 😉 Also, they are great with kids and Isaac is totally obsessed with his little puppies.

How is your sleep? A while back I opened up on Instagram about my struggle with insomnia over the last 9 months. I was overwhelmed by your sweet messages, prayers and advice from those of you who struggle with sleep disorders. I’m happy to say my sleep is SO much better! I will be writing a blog post on this very soon with high hopes that it’ll help some of you out.

Fitness routine/diet? Honestly, I was surprised when a few of you asked this… 

I don’t consider myself to be one of those ‘paper thin bloggers’ AND my whole journey with my sleep has actually caused me to gain a little weight, BUT… health & wellness is a journey & this journey somehow lead me to running. I’ve been training (for the last 4 months) for my first half marathon & I’m hoping it’s the first of many.  Other than that, I try my best to weight train on my rest days, but for the most part I run (a lot). And as for diet, we are a GF family (thanks to my husband who is gluten intolerant). We do our best to eat healthy and rarely eat any type of pasta (because if we’re being real, GF pasta sucks!). And for the most part, we stay away from alcohol and sugary drinks along with drinking TONS of water … that alone seems to help me maintain my current weight.

What do you do for a living? Not a full time blogger. 😉 And if I’m being real, I work my butt off..because that’s just what you do when you’re in health care. I’m a RDA, CDA & EFDA (in other words, I’m a dental assistant-haha). I assist with all the procedures, clean little kiddos teeth, do all the whitenings (which I freaking LOVE), x-rays, write up charts, etc. It’s busy work, but for being in health care it’s a great schedule (Mon-Thurs). I always get weekends off and never have to work holidays! We also just added a pet therapy dog to the office which was literally the best idea ever!
